Is a futurist ideology inherently negative?

There are a lot of things I find attractive about the futurist manifesto, both in terms of art as well as politics. However, the aesthetic seems to carry negative connotations due to pre-war fascist influence. Can one effectively isolate themselves from the aestheticization of violence and the glorification of war and still maintain that they are a Futurist?
