What does this line mean in Sylvia Plath's "Lady Lazurus"?

I think there are many different theories to what that means. There are obviously different themes going on in the poem, so it might not be referring to her own experiences. Although, some people say that she had a scar on her throat. And friends claim that Sylvia told them it was from accidentally cutting herself when she was around ten. So my guess, she is equating that experience with near death. And unofficially counting it as one of the three attempts.
