When i dye my hair red?

PLEASE ANSWER> my hair is naturally black but i am gonna dye it with a blonde dye so i get a browny red but i have a carmel strip in my hair iff i use the blonde on the strip itll turn more blond wich i dont want so what should i do if i buy a red hair dye too will the blonde strip be brighter then the rest of my head? help please
