I am the god-mother & I am so confused?

It is nice that you are trying to help out. Being a god-parent from what I understand is when both parents die for some reason, and you agree to take the child. He is still alive and well and needs to take care of his daughter the best he can. I know being a single parent is hard, I am one, so just make sure he knows you will help out, but make sure he knows also that he can't just "dump" her off when he is sick of her. Hope that helps.
