House has panelling over 1/4" plywood. Can I remove the panelling and install 1/4" sheetrock over the plywood?

Yes you can. Remove door and window trim first because it is installed over the paneling. The sheetrock should be the same thickness as the paneling you are removing so the trim can be reinstalled easily at the end of the job.the
