Christians, what is your opinion on tattoos?

Most Christians that I pose this question to refer to Leviticus, in which GOD banned a group of Pagans from getting tattoos. These Pagans would tattoo themselves and their dead to appease their false gods. GOD banned them from doing so. Some Christians believe that this bans all tattoos. I do not agree. So, what is your opinion? All I ask is that you don't be rude or condemning. However, I am interested to hear what Christians on here think about tattoos. Thanks.
